Actually i've seen quite a few bad reviews on them.... also server speeds are crappy...

Support is also very slow...

What is your budget and what are your requirements? Do you have regioal visitors?

I agree with Cabron on this. I'm also put off this host because they are overselling way too much, and companies that do that tend not to deliver quality.

As Cabron said, what are your exact requirements or what do you think approximately?

I can sadly say the same. I can't recall reading a positive one to be frank.

A search over at webhostingtalk.com might be able to reveal quite a bit about them. The owner has a bit of a history in the hosting world as well I believe. Do a google search for his name, you're bound to find out about it.

Hostexcellence is one of their brands as well BTW.

Honestly... They offer 500 GB disc space with their shared hosting plan that costs $6.95 per month. Go to any server vendor and you'll find that an average server hard drive comes with ... let's say 300 GB of disc space. That means this web host cheats customers or at least heavily oversells.

Well hostgator, dreamhost, hostican oversell as well, but most of their reviews are good. So in your view you could say they cheat their customers as well, but most ppl are happy with their service and the $$ they pay for it.

The problem ain't with how much they oversell, it's on how much they invest in the company (staff, hardware, etc)

I've used iPowerWeb.com for years, realized they are too expensive for what you get, yet their servers were ALWAYS FAST FOR ME AND MY CLIENTS.

IxWebhosting.com... Very cheap/affordable and they allow you to host up to 8 domains for less than $100/month. Server speeds suck, and I'm on 4 different servers, websites always slow/sluggish, tech support chat is from Russia (most of the time), and images/content does not load up most of the time. I have one site where images always fail to load because the server takes soo long.

I've actually started ditching ixWebhosting, and now have a dedicated server. Holy COW is it fast! $100/month for very high quality performance. I'd be surprised at what the $200+/month servers do!

IXWEBHOSTING.COM CAN MAX ABOUT 1,000 REGISTERED DOMAINS ON THEIR SERVER, NOT INCLUDING THE 8+ FREE "LINKED" DOMAINS THEY OFFER. 1,000 x 8? holy cow!

I'd go somewhere else, trust me, I have.

Go see how long it takes www.arcadeslayer.com to load.

I use IX and surprisingly, I am okay wit it! They dont offer cpanel, but thier control panel is okay for me. Best thing I liked about them is that they offer differnt IP for add-on domains. That is a real help for SEO.

They use H-Sphere, which many actually prefer to cPanel.
