I have site submitter .. but I don't believe in software. There are very few directories worth listing .. I like to have an excel page with them and the sites I own. I can track there if I submitted the page and revisit from time to time to see if I am really indexed in it. Automatic submissions is not a good idea from what I hear

There are lots of them. But I never use Totally Automatic Submitter, Semi Automatic is best ones. I use digiXMAS submitter, and often I use firefox autofiller which is also great time saver.

Dojo's suggestion is the most effective way to submit. You can even have a spider check the site periodically for your listing. That's what I have done, and my acceptance rate is 93%. Meaning, if I submit a page and wait a month, the approval rate is 93%.

I also don't submit to too many directories at one time. If your backlinks suddenly surge, it will likely throw up a red flag to G and Y.

I would suggest against using auto submission tools. I find it best to browse directories in my free time and pick the category that first your website best.

Some directory submission services work well, but make sure they send you a report after your done!

I had try many web directory submit program but non of them work the best. The best is to do all by yourself, your site will grow step by step.

Well, there are few software available like site submitter but it is widely recomended to do it yourself, however it takes time and a little boring but it is the best way to submit your site to directories as per your convenience..

I use roboform. One click and all fields are filled. Then I check it and if necessary I manually fill in anti-spam question.

I use semi automatic tools for submission, but most of the time I look for some Good PR directories which allows free featured links for some time period.
Firefox AutoFills is also good tool to use.

The Best software for filling ebsites forms is RoboForm. You will say thank you for my advice, but, please, do not use it submitting your website to directory in my signature. URLs Live Comments antispam system will probably dismiss any submission made by script or software-assisted with submission program.

You’ll be better off if you do it old fashion way by visiting directory site, read
guidelines and then submit your link. By doing that you are 99.9%
guaranteed your site will be reviewed and not blocked or/and deleted
before it get to Editors Review bin.

This days more expensive directories will use blockers and filters to deny
submissions by automated scripts plus, at least in our case, we trace every
step you make from the moment you came in to the moment you left and if
you bypass even one step in our submission routine, then we know you
visited us using automated scripts.

Guess what would happen next.
If you guessed: submission deleted and offending IP Blacklist, then you are the Winner.
