Is yahoo Directory pants !!!

Hi there

I submited my site to yahoo directory some time ago, cost me a fortune, they put it in the wrong place, so i asked them to move it, they got the description wrong and then wouldnt change it !!!

So my experiance of yahoo is awful, terrible customer service and hardly had any hits from my link anyway and it seems to have had a detrimental effect on my yahoo rankings.

I am not going to renew it as i personally think its a waste of money ? do other people think its not worth it ?

yes i don't like the way they listed my site either, and contacting them to change it is impossible

It's been listed now for quite some time, and I really haven't seen any benefit from it.

I think it was a waste of money

What is the URL? What is the category? What category do you think it should be in? What is wrong with the description?

Welcome to 2007. There are next to no effective directories, and the ones that are effective don't cost anything (which is the only thing that makes them effective.)

Hi there

I did after some time manage to get my listing moved, but they flatly refused to update my description, with a short sharp response of saying they are not going to update it and never will.

My Description is as follows

Free U.K. based chat rooms and forums for anyone 18 and older. Flash-based and fun hosted rooms for general chatters with no sign up necessary.

There is a very basic error in that description, the dots in between the U K and yahoo refused to remove them, so all for the sake of 2 dots they have lost my custom !!!!

I see no error in that description. The dots after the U and K are a common way of using abbreviations.

hmmm well i am the customer and i dont like it no one when they search on google types U.K. !!!! so i asked for it to be changed !!!
