How do you monetize your directory?
I've been wondering what the point would be in making a directory because i do not see much potential for a profit there.
Am I wrong in this perception?

The obvious would be to charge for submitions. But people aren't going to pay unless you have a quality directory.

If you have PR4+ directory with a nice template and some unique parts, you can make some money from paid submissions, other than that, ad placement can help you a bit, esp. within your submit page where people mostly go directly.
