Web Directories

Thanks everyone for sharing your directory links. I started reviewing them. I started creating a list of highly recommended directories. Here's what I have so far:

I also created a program that has built in directory submisson and social bookmarking tools. It's not the greatest tool ever but it's free. It's only about 4th computer program that I've made. Only been at it for couple of weeks.

It doesn't automatically search for updates. Future versions probably will have a lot more features and functionality.

recommended by whom? by you?
are you recommending directory which you yourself criticize too?
Free with reciprocal link. validation script doesn't seem to be working

i tell you what, i will recommend to you check "not recommended by you" but at least very well kept directories to give you some idea what to look for next time you have directory in a front of you.

Directoires are the very good way to ncrease ranking of a website as it stays for a long period of time...

Not a big list actually, not well categorized and not very impressive way to pile up list.

Though amray dot com providing indeed useful list, I have had submitted in most of them already and all are well established and old buddies!

As the thread is quite old - lots of the directories in your list have been installed on old/expired high domains and now I see that www.drumtv.com and some other directories on your list have lost PR and are back to squire-one - i.e. PR0 - not much of use as they don't have the deep-indexing power that they used to have previously.
