DMOZ does not claim to be a listing service. We accept suggestions of siutes that are suitable for a particular category, but we do not promise to review them in good time, it can take from a few days to a few years before a review happens. It depends on the editor. Editors are there to build up categies, but they can use any resource they wish to do so and the suggestions pool is one of those resources.
We build with the end user in mind, not just to get as many of the suggestions pool as possible into the lists. All editors are volunteers and get no cash for anything they do. We cannot predict when any editor will look at any category, nor can we predict how much time any editor will spend editing nor can we predict which resourse, ie if they are going to use the suggestions so we cannot predict how long a review will take.
Sorry before you ask we do not advise if a site suggestion is used or if it is rejected. But rejections happen basically becuase the site does not fit the sriteria for us to list it> that is available to read from the front page of DMOZ.
