You are not going to believe this (DMOZ)

Hi,

I am new to the world of web masters,

I had read how helpful Dmoz is

I remember reading "it took me 1.5 years to get listed"

I submitted my website Aviation Earth, 3 months old, last Monday,

and today, I AM LISTED IN DMOZ

so all of you don't lose hope

There is a reason for that. It's an interesting, unique site with good useful information.

I agree with Hirst that the site does look interesting and appears to have some useful information, as opposed to the regurgitated pig crap that most sites seem to be these days.

In your case, farrhad, you got lucky as well. You got an editor that saw that you had something useful to offer, didn't get sucked into any political garbage, and listed you. Your site definitely deserves to be listed in any directory with an aviation category; don't get me wrong. But you have to have good content AND manage to get lucky these days.

Don't count on much traffic from it, either.

More than half the sites that DMOZ lists were never submitted in the first place. Why is it news that your site is listed in less than a week? It happens all the time!
