Hi,

Someone suggusted a link to one of my directories. A site that claim to submit site to Dmoz for a fee. Do you think is it ok to accept? Is such a service ethical when dmoz is free. What do you think?

I don't think DMOZ is that important for a paid inclusion

There is nothing wrong with charging a fee to submit to DMOZ. I would happily do it for a fee for anyone. Listing a site for a fee in DMOZ is a very different matter.

The problem is there are scammers out there who do offer to accept a fee for submitting and webmasters fall for it thinking they are paying for a listing --- I receall two threads at Resource Zone in which DMOZ help was wanted to get their money back --needless to say they were laughed at.

if one is an DMOZ editor and accepts "bribes" to include someone's site that is unethical, if someone get money just to do the dirty work of submitting to ANY directory I have no problem with
