Lost rankings and traffic that google indexed!

is there any effect on the rankings/traffic if ever we re-write the URL(listings) that was already indexed on Google.

Can you elaborate on that? Do you mean altering the URL itself, or altering the content or something else?

You can...if you don't 301 the old content to the new content and alter other things that made your site successful (if it was ever successful).

Basically, change as little as possible. That's the simplest formula to ensure maintaining rankings.

Do it. That way, SEs know where the new page is and what the old page was.

there is an effect in google rankings if ever changed the urls that google indexed already.
