What is Important in Yahoo and Msn

Dear friends

We all know that more the link popularity is the better ranks you get in google. What about Yahoo and Msn, they are huge engines too, what they look to rank agaisnt in terms of keywords.

same as Google does,

useful, unique content to show to their users.

Well google mostly rely over back links and later it looks contents keywords and things like that.
But msn and yahoo do not look for link popularity, however it feels it looks like as if contents are more important to them including meta tags to yahoo.
Is there any thing i am missing please mention.

Nope.

If anything Yahoo is more weighted by sheer numbers of backlinks.

Google is weighted more with the anchor text of links, and not necessarily external (back)links. A few good quality links with the right anchor text can easily outweigh thousands of crappy "link exchange" links or low quality directory links.

From my experience, Google pays a lot attention to links and the quality of links. MSN pays more attention to onsite content and optimization. Yahoo is somewhere in between, weighing both links and contents.

yeah useful unique content, and ive always found that with MSN, the link title is very important in where you rank. whenever ive wanted to rank a site high in MSN ive always concentrated on the page title, now i aim high for google now i can rank high in MSN, and a few weeks ago, i finally got my site to page one on google WOO HOO.

good luck with it. just spend a little time on doing things manually, dont use automated programs, they do more harm then good.
