Does anyone know how Bing is doing against the big "G"?

I'm not exactly sure what Google (I think that’s what you mean by "G") is doing in regards to 'Bing'. I rather excited to see the level of competition both will have. I wouldn't be surprised to see Google coming out with commercials in the near future.

I think Bing gained a tiny bit of ground on Google, but they are still a long ways off. I personally prefer bing. I hope they keep improving and make a serious move at catching Google.

Yes I agree. Bing is coping up with the SE competition but it's still far from google.

I think Bing is trying to come up with something they don't have before.. Like the ability to cache pages..

don't have any idea. I don't know how to optimize a search engine.they can do partnership with Google to get a big boost!

I noticed recently that some web pages for same keyword phrase ranks in SERP-s of both search engines almost the same. Google local and bing are very similar, but google.com international and bing are very different. IMHO differences are due to backlinks.

I've given Bing a try for 2 weeks and I decided to stick with it. I particularly like their image search function

Bing has done quite a good progress but beating Google is still far far away for them. Still Google has supremacy in search engine.

What I like about the new MSN Search or Bing team is there open attitude to the SEO/SEM community. The tools and information they are provising are going a long way to endearing them to this community and I hope they keep it up.

well i heard in the news that msn and bing are the same, there algorithm wasn't improve yet..so i think it will be difficult for them to compete with google.

give it a few more months... I think it will be a good SE as well, it brings in good traffic for my sites and I like the homepage images and the SERP results.

Personally, I'm actually finding Bing's results a notable improvement over Live. It seems to be at least on par with Google as far as relevance is concerned.

But, I am remain concerned by Google's virtual monopoly in the search and contextual advertising markets, so if MSFT can make one final attempt to produce a credible rival, I'm all for that.
