Keywords are the most important SEO item for every search engine – actually they are what search strings are matched against. So you see that it is very important that you optimize your site for the right keywords. This seems easy at first but when you get into more detail, it might be a bit confusing to correctly determine the keywords. But with a little research and thinking the problem of selecting the right keywords to optimize for can be solved.

This is exactly why I offer <link drop removed>. If you target the wrong keywords, you simply won't get enough traffic and sales. Always spend sufficient time to do thorough keyword research before writing any content or building any backlinks.

Has anyone found any differences between keyword popularity and the different search engines? say a certain search term rates highly in google but not in yahoo for traffic? regardless of the fact that google dominates the market of course.

Yes keyword research is very important before beggining site development. On one hand you don't want to target keywords that have too much competition but you also want them to be as popular as possible.

One of the most important factors is having the targeted keywords in your domain name or url.

keyword research is the main thing to get traffic, if u do not research proper keywords then rankings for those wont bring u traffic at all and result into no effect to website

wallpapers or entertainment site can be targeted without keyword research as u can get traffic from social bookmarking sites

i would say keywords are the key that will make a user get into your website only when the right key is used
it is very important that the keywords in your website and the keywords that people use in the search engines match in a right way
