Which toolbars do you have installed?

I have none, I think the default google textbox search tool is just fine.

I use none. I used to have google toolbar to check PageRank, but since PageRank means jack **** I don't have it anymore. I have everything as small as possible in firefox so like 99% of the screen is on the web except for one thin bar at the top with my links, url bar, buttons, etc.

Uzuma has got the right idea...

I don't like to keep "3rd party" toolbars - they are spying on ALL your surfing and logging it and keeping a note. Sure they won't sell it to anyone, but hey - do you want google to know everything you EVER browse via http? Because if you have a toolbar installed, it's pretty easy for them to do that - maybe you need to opt in or something, but even if you don't, it's not like the data ISN'T logged - opt-in just changes "who" accesses it, I'd guess.

Toolbars are evil - used purely to watch browsers. You don't have to type anything into the toolbar. Just the fact that it's loaded up means it watches every page you surf (yep, even the porn! so google know what turns you on... do you really want that?)

Are a lot of personal preference. I personally like Google. What ever you choose be SURE to have a good antivirus, a good spyware checker and a good firewall going. Toolbars are know to attract things like spyware and other little goodies. But if you are protected you should be OK. Make sure your antivirus has real time protection. Real time protection updates itself. This way you don't forget to do it. One good free antivirus out there is AVG free edition and it has real time protection.

This is just my opinion.

I use Google toolbars and use protection and I don't have any problems.

I only use Google but some time i like Yahoo. Because yahoo shows the faster result of your work in SEO. And for the same thing Google took time to get result SERP.
