You don't submit sites to any engines. They crawl the web looking for sites to index.
Having said that, about the only two engines that you missed in that list, and they'll send occasional traffic at best, are AltaVista and Ask (Jeeves).
The big three of Google, Yahoo! and MSN will make up the bulk of your search traffic by far. Anything else is just a bonus.

Hi Alex -
Yes... you should submit to search engines, if you wish to speed up the process... in the right way. But how? On the basic submit your site page, like this on at Google? No. You can see by their own statement at that page, that "We do not add all submitted URLs to our index, and we cannot make any predictions or guarantees about when or if they will appear."
So... you have to proceed in a little more sophisticated fashion. What you should do it use Google WebMaster Tools to "enhance and increase traffic" to your site. And the way you get started is to create an XML sitemap and submit that via the WebMaster Tools interface.
Take the Tour to learn more.
Also, take a look at Yahoo Site Explorer.
Yours, Scott

No...no, you shouldn't submit to search engines. If you wish to speed up the process, in the right way, get a single link somewhere that's crawled frequently online and bang, you're indexed.
Let's read something directly from the horse's mouth, shall we?

Inclusion in Google's search results is free and easy; you don't even need to submit your site to Google. Google is a fully automated search engine that uses software known as "spiders" to crawl the web on a regular basis and find sites to add to our index. In fact, the vast majority of sites listed in our results aren't manually submitted for inclusion, but found and added automatically when our spiders crawl the web.

Will you stop with the misinformation already?

Scott, I agree with Adam. There's nothing specifically wrong with submitting your site to a search engine, but it's not going to get your site indexed any faster. The best way to get your site indexed is to get links pointing to it. Submitting to search engines is a mostly pointless pursuit.

Hello Gentlemen -
I think I agree with you on direct submitting by the simple form present on websites. I am talking about something a bit different. Submitting an XML sitemap via the WebMaster program at Google. You create the map, validate your site with it, and submit the location of the map to Google. I suppose I should have said submit a sitemap to be clearer.
Regards -
Scott

Yep different. I think creating a sitemap on your site is still better than submitting the Sitemap to the search engines, but I wouldn't say that submitting a Sitemap to search engines is pointless. I think that can be a good thing to do under the right circumstances.

I would have to agree on setting up a sitemap helps search engine crawling activities on your site, especially if it is a new and big site, constantly adding fresh content and inbound links helps speed up the crawling frequency.

Well, What I have noticed that other search engines showing Google results on any search query because they don't have a massive amount of data in their database. And one more thing that Google is fixed in people mind for any information online.

That's certainly your right, but I'd say your limiting yourself. Google owns about 2/3 of the search market, but that's still living a 1/3 of searchers on the table.
Depending on your topic and business model that 1/3 might even provide a better return.
I'm not suggesting that you have to worry about the other engines, but you might want to think about them.
