You could consider adding you site link to the ODP - Open Directory Project. The ODP is maintained by human editors who evaluate sites for inclusion in the directory.
The ODP is not a search engine. But you can consider the ODP as part of your SEO strategy.
Make sure that your site follows the policy of the ODP closely. When you site has been accepted into the ODP your website will be listed at partner sites of the ODP too (AOL Search, Netscape Search, Yahoo Search, Google and many more).
Their is no need to do extra effort for submitting site in search engines, just try to improve one ways link by submitting site in directories, forums, articles, press releases, social bookmarking sites etc. for website so search engines access the site from their.
basically you submit a website to a search engine if you don't plan on having links pointing to it like a sitemap and the likes. who the hell would want to link a sitemap?
HI
Which are the most importatnt search engines besides google,yahoo.msn,aol.
I wanna submit my sites to other imortant search engines besides these engines manually so that i can get traffic from these also .
I mean to say iam asking which are most imortant engines besides these four engines?
No need to submit your site to search engines. SE's will crawl your site even if you will not submit it. Use your time on submitting your site to directories.
Well the four search engines that you mentioned are widely recognized especially the first two. But there's another one that has been making a noise, its bing. You should try it.
