Hello,

I'm working on a site, but I'm not planning for it to be text-heavy. Instead I want to create user resources such as quality free icons and flash software. Is it difficult to use Adsense in this manner?

Adsense serves up content related ads. If you have little text content, the result may be less relevant ads on your site = low click through rate.

Using the "alt" attribute on your images and putting at least some well written text should help Google target your ads better.

I strongly advise you consider adding some written content - perhaps tips on how to apply the products you are offering.

What the sponge said.

I would add some text at the least since Google will only be so successful with images. Adding alt attributes will help as will good page titles and page headings.

From what I've noticed Google will also pick up relevance based on your domain and your other pages so if you have pages outside of the icons, etc that might help with getting relevant ads

I've bookmaked your icons page; hope to see more of them.

Write some text about how you created them, how to convert them to different formats, the problem with IE and png transparency... Put some basic info on each page, stats about the content. Spongie explained about relevance of ads and how much you get paid.

Have a look at my personal site; a bunch of photos and galleries, but all of them have text describing the photo. This brings in search traffic ... but it also tends to "add value" to the "user experience." Sorry for all the buzzwords.

Things move slowly in seo ... it might be a few days after you upload new text before GoogleBot sees it ... so don't rush.
