After spending the last couple of days reading various things on the issue of PR I've come to the following conclusion:

The internet is like the N. American Continent. Webmaster and Bloggers are like the Native Americans. Google is like the Colonialists and PR is like the shiny beads they bought most of America with.

But it doesn't!

I for one don't have the PR guesstimator on at all, and it doesn't affect my judgment of the value of a page.

REAL people, remember those? they are the ones who use Google to find stuff they can buy, for the most part have absolutely no idea what PR is.


The only people who look at the green bar are gullible link exchangers and SEO "experts" (guru, master etc)

I am agree with twin toolbar page rank only for selling links.

It's no good selling links either! I agree people were drawn into the PR phase as millions of PR checkers were released on webmaster sites, i was one of them! Just look through Google and you will start to understand that they don't rank by PR! You start to learn that if it was all based on PR then everyone would be on the phone to Indian "seo companies" exploiting children to get backlinks everywere on the web. I wish it was that simple!

All said! But still I find a lot of people waiting with bated breath for the next google PR update and those with high PR are ready to sell links at sky high prices. What shall we do these people?

Total Truth! I remember when people were trying to sell domains using the "PR" factor, take the bait?!

I definitely think ShockRank is more accurate than PageRank.

one of my domains was penalized for paid posts it went from a 3 to a zero but so far no drop in traffic. Perhaps a penalty dock is different from a true drop in PR?

PR is important for site.

somtimes , google toolbar works wrong, and show wrong PR
