Hi all, could anyone look at www.comespanish.com and give me any advice on keywords and how to improve my google search and all that ?

My website translates a popular song to spanish every week and gives video and audio of the song. Basically I have no idea about keywords, though im trying to learn, so any tips no matter how obvious i would really appreciate !!

For example I put the keywords - learn spanish. Is this totally pointless now since there is probably 50 million websites with the same?...what should I do ? Thanks a lot!

# 1 and I always say this you need to be putting up anchor text. Now many people do not like me to be that vague, so let me elaborate. You need to get your one way "Anchor Text" link on as many different sites as you can in the first place, make these sites have some PR(page rank) because your site will gain a "vote" off any HIGH pr site...o_o you should know what this stuff is..

secondly here is a list of keywords...(from inventory.overture.com)

Check overture type in "Learn Spanish" and use a keyword list from there.

=)

It's not vague, it's useless. There's a difference. When somebody asks "What keywords?" and your answer is "Put up anchor text" that's stupid and useless. You haven't helped at all, but you've managed to waste space and confuse a newbie who needs help.

Learn Spanish is going to be difficult, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't target it. It means you should have other phrases in mind, and also go after this one. It should help you achieve other keywords you want.

What about "Spanish Television" "Spanish Movies" "Spanish Videos" and the names of the specific songs you're translating? The songs themselves will be less competitive, especially with "Spanish" somewhere in the search phrase.

Choosing keywords isn't really my specialty, so don't put too much faith into my advice. Hopefully Chris and VanGogh and Adam will be around soon to give you useful advice.

John, you pretty well said what I would have.

The one thing I would add is to think of keywords and phrases that relate to your site and punch them into a tool like www.wordtracker.com to see if they're searched for often, or maybe there's something related that is searched for more often.

Yours is the kind of site that will likely pick up more SEO traffic as it grows. As you add content, you'll pick up more niche phrases (particularly en espagnol). Spanish Lyrics is a good phrase, possibly Spanish lyrics translation (although I doubt it), Song Lyrics in Spanish, maybe....those are a few that come to mind.

Before you worry about SEO though, you may want to look at your overall layout. It's hard to navigate between the pages, since there's no menu. Come up with a consistent site architecture and maybe a new layout and then worry about SEO.

John was right about listening to Vasity: he didn't give you a single useful piece of advice.

No, because you played the parrot or lemming game, being the first to jump in and answer questions that weren't being asked. The guy wants to know how to choose keywords. How the frig is he going to put up anchor text when he doesn't know WHAT TEXT to use?

Seriously, we know you have emotional problems and mommy doesn't give you enough attention so you need to look for it here. A lot of us are getting used to having to live with a pest humping everybody's leg. It's when you lead people asking for help astray that your idiotry is a serious problem.

I don't know why I'm even taking the time to explain this to you. It won't do any good. I should just make up some asinine nonsense like you do whenever you have a question.

Hello.
I think that you know all keywords better than we.
First.
Choose keywords
Second
Invistigate how competative they are.
Next.
Decide on keywords.
Optimize your pages with them
Than make linkexchange
Those are your first steps.

Set your major keyword as your title instead of your domain name
