so your saying a comment that is another competitors name.,and there description with a link is ok to approve?

Dan if all they did was left their name and a link to their site it's spam. If they made an attempt at an intelligent comment then it's probably not spam.

Does the link make sense to add to the comment or is the only reason it's there is to promote the other person's site?

Unfortunately you may get a lot more spam comments than real ones. It's not just you though. Look into getting a spam filter since it will catch most of the spam comments and then use your judgment for the rest. Some real spam will get through and some non spam comments you might end up deleting. It's all part of blogging.

Yeah i added some pretty powerfully spam plugins to the blog..High ratings from the community on them. Also set things up so i can allow, deny, or mark as spam right thru my email client..so that is cool, dont have to run up there all the time them.

Guess I didn't make myself too clear here. My bad.

I actually meant the opposite is true. Like Steven said, keep the intelligent comments which add something to your blog, and delete the rest.

Hello my friends... As said id keep you informed. Things appear to be looking up. i am now able to go to page 6 before i see supplemental results. It was page 3 before. Also new pages are being indexed, and the top one they show is the The Lingerie Blog

Anyways, again thank you for all your help you guys. Hopefully this trend will continue.
