I'm somewhat new to google optimization. I'm having some good signs of success so far. My new site was indexed by google within 4 days of going "live". That same bot has visited my site every day for about 10 days (Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html). I haven't had a deep crawl yet, so my homepage is the only page that is indexed. My question is:

How long should I expect to wait before I get a deep crawl and how long should I expect to wait before I get a PR update (if any) on my googlebar?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

A PR update usually occurs about once a month.

Googlebot visits more often depending on a couple of things like the PR of your site and how often you update it.

I have had new sites deep crawled (all pages listed) as fast as about 1 week and taking as long as one month...

About a month.
