I have quick question for you guys:

Three days ago, google began crawling one of my sites. There was a cached snapshot of my homepage on google (no cache for the subpages). Today, I noticed that google no longer has a cached snapshot for the homepage, but the googlebot did visit my site today.

Also, the url for my site (www.mysite.com) was indexed and I was 1st for the term "mysite" (not a highly regarded search term).
That is no longer the case.

Should I be concerned?

Let me guess you have a website that has been up for less than 2 months? Am I right? Google normally overestimates your pagerank before acutally mathmatically figuring it out. That might be the reason why you have #1 for that keyword and then google acutally calculated your pr and you dropped out. Same thing happened to me . As for the lack of cache I have no clue why. Maybey there was an error when trying to save your website...

Thanks for the feedback virus! The thing that really concerns me is that my site is no longer indexed at all. In fact, when I type in said keyword "mysite" there are 12 results (most of those results are directories or sites that have linked to me), but none of those results are originating from my website urls.

Does anyone else have feedback?

Never mind my original post. When I woke up this morning and checked google I was happy to see that I'm indexed again. I'm back to where I was the day before.

I think what may have caused the drop from google was server downtime. I think the googlebot visited my site, but found nothing (because my server was down), and removed me from the index. That's just a theory at this point.
