I'm the owner/webmaster of filipina-sweethearts.com and I've beening trying to get into Google's "mail order brides", with the quotes, search results for 5 months. My homepage has some PR, it has some sites linking to it, it is 100% relevant. It's ten times better than most of the sites in the top 100 for that search.

I'm sick and tired of trying. I've read every post in every webmaster forum on earth trying to make my site Google-friendly and to not violate Google's guidelines.

I've had it! From now on, I no longer give a crap. You can do without my site listed and I can do without being listed. I'll just have to find other SE's and directories. Other means of finding customers.

Thank you very much FOR NOTHING!!!

Most Sincerely,
Dave Benware

The above quote is a message I sent to Google a few minutes ago using their Help Us Improve link at the bottom of every search page.

I'm totally frustrated and exhausted from trying to get into their search results.

I wonder how much business I've lost due to all the time I've spent focusing on Google and following their specific guidelines.

It's no longer possible to design for the user, one absolutely must check with Google on every freakin thing.

Screw them!

I think a lot of people feel the way you do at the moment. But for everyone who loses someone else will win.

I do think Google results have become less relevant as of late (despite me having great rankings for WT) but I wonder how long before the typical user notices anything, I don't know. They have taken the new algo / filter overoard IMO.

I'm ready for the Yahoo to Inktomi switch!
