Hello - I'm new to this forum. Can anyone shed some light on tricks to getting an adult website ranked appreciably in google? I can only get on the first or second page if I type in a specific string of keywords in the search bar. I had no problems getting my Hobby Shop ranked OK in google, but my DVD site is another story. thanks

As for your ranking, I imagine it's because there's a LOT of competition for the same keywords. I'd say for an adult site, ranking on the first or second page is pretty darn good considering how many there are out there competing for the same keywords. ')

Okay, I just reread your post, and you said you only rank on the first and second page with specific search strings....

Like I said, there's TOUGH competition in this area. I would suggest trying to get as many incoming links to your website to improve your pagerank. Maybe an adult link or banner exchange program or two couldn't hurt either.
