PageRank is meaningless and can easily be manipulated.
I don't pay any attention to it other than to see whether a site is banned or not personally.
Like gringo said, all that matters is where and how you rank.
Mind you, big G is shuffling things up on an almost daily basis now. So don't read anything into it yet until the SERPs settle down.
Take this phrase for example:

As of right now, I'm #7. As of 12 hours ago, I was #39. As of 24 hours ago, I was #6. As of 36 hours ago, I was #32. And as of 48 hours ago, I was #6.
Before anyone says that "it's just me and I'm only looking at my own", I'm not. That entire first SERP changes as well. chrisdesign.com has bounced around in a similar vein; 360mediaworx has gone from 1 to 9 back and forth; frynge has bounced back and forth from #4 to #25; etc.
That's why I picked that particular keyphrase. It shows some heavy-duty flux. (Fortunately for me, my interest in it is purely academic at this point.)
