I used to have a PR 3, now I have none at all, and links pointing to my site, according to Google, no longer exist, although other SE's still show links pointing to me. I changed my index file to cgi a couple months back, could that be it?
if you changed the filename, that is definitely the problem! pagerank is attached to specific pagenames so be very careful about that when making changes to your site.
my main url is the same, http://www.clickhereforit.com , even though the extension changed. And as far as the backward links. If i go to google, and type in clickhereforit, it shows over 500 links to me, although some are mine. So I know I have sites linked to me, just wondering why google isn't finding them that way.
ron, if its a pretty new site, like less than two months old, this is pretty normal behaviour for Google. i don't think this anything to be concerned with.
the sites get a lot more stable after they have been in the index for a few months.
make sure you have at least one link from a pagerank 5 or higher site.
