1. RSS feed will help getting crawled faster, but also ranked faster?
2. How come that RSS feed will get your site crawled faster? What is the reason behind this?

To my understanding Yahoo really loves you if you have RSS feeds. But i'm really not sure.

IMO, you will get some traffic from search engine users using keywords or quoted phrases found in RSS feeds you have syndicated.

I think RSS content is duplicate content by definition. Every text imported from RSS feeds can be found on other web sites as well. So IMHO, content pulled by RSS feeds will not significantly improve search engine ranking.

I agree with etech-martin/ Also if you want your site to get crawled faster, post your url in your signature and have a "robot friendly" site map containing all of your sites "static" links (no more then 100 a page). Make sure you link every page to the site map to make things easy on the bots.

If you have a RSS feed file(s).. then create an account at my.yahoo.com and in AOL and add there your RSSes.. yahoo and aol within 24hrs will come too see what are you feeding them
