Hi,

I have a huge finance directory of more than 5,000 Pages. It has .UK domain.
The site has links form many other website (around 56 sites). These all sites are mine, but hosted on different servers.

These sites are all finance, loan, credit card related. None of them are blacklisted. Few days back around 700-800 WebPages were there in Google UK. But presently only 70 Pages are left in the Google database.

The site is set as per the parameters of Google, what I fail to understand is why is it dropping the number of pages. Is it because these 56 websites are hosted on different servers, or some other reason.

These sites were initially only on 2 servers, but now they have been shifted to more than 2 servers.

One more thing when I checked my site for any broken links, through the software it was giving me errors like NO HOST FOUND. But when I manually checked those links everything was fine.

Is this the reason for loss of pages from Google, or some other point, which I am missing?
Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

hmm 56 websites, all yours, linking to one site also yours. (and each other of course)

Doesn't sound in the slightest like a nice little link network/farm of the kind that Google likes to find and dump. </sarcasm>

When you set out on these closed link networks it makes absolutely no difference whether they are on different IPs, different servers or in different countries. It can be found penalised. And that's what it appears to be in this case, I may be wrong but it has all the hallmarks of being dropped.

Yep, looks to me to that you have just been busted!

I think had your little link farm ring related to a smaller percentage of your total link count you may have been ok but at 100% its so obvious it was just a matter of time. Chris has hit the nail on the head, you are a link farm!, lets call a spade a spade!

Many sites that operate a number of sites often link to each other but normally would go out and secure links on an individual basis. If say each of your sites linked to you but each one went out and got its own links chances are you would have been ok. You cant cheat the system, well not if you want to be here for the long term!.

What to do now is the question?. First you need to clean up your link situation. A quick look at yahoo backlinks shows us you have 1000 back links from 64 sites all linking back, those sites have similar back links - change this PDQ.

Then take one site at a time, focus on quality content on it and finding links for it. Link exchange, directory links, articles etc, etc. give it time to establish and grow on its own. Remember you dont get a quick fix on the internet.

With luck if you clean up your act Google wont zap you altogether and grey bar you out. If it does you can only clean up and go for a re-inclusion request, chances are these sites wont rank for a while but unless you take action they will never rank.

Your flagship site has zero PR currently build on it and google will start to index you in time.

Good luck
