Hi,
My site was indexed by Google a few weeks ago (without me even submitting my site to Google). It wasn't ready for search engine submittal because I hadn't done my SEO.

Now my site is ready, Google is taking a long time updating the changes.
I checked my IP visitor log today and found an entry from google

IP Address: 66.249.64.25 - Date: 13th November 2005 01:47:59 AM - Referer: (NONE) - Browser: Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.google.com/bot.html)


However, I noticed when I type in "Super Soulmate" into Google, it still lists the old title in the link on the search results.

Does this mean that Google is ignoring my site for reason?
I'm kinda panicking because I really want to know if my SEO worked.

The index update won't be instant and it might not be the same index you're accessing each time you search. Be patient.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

1/ There is the aging delay to consider

2/ There is ~100,000 other dating sites in front of you.

3/ Which of the two pages the SE crawlers can see has been optimised ?

Thanks for the reply. I guess I was a little worried because I wasn't sure when GoogleBot would visit again, like in a months time or something.

Yep you're right, there are billions of dating sites out there. I don't expect to get a Page 1 listing, just a position that's better than most of the not-so-good sites.
I've only optimized my index page, because all my other pages are inside a member only area. If you have any suggestions on how I might improve my optimization, I would very much like to hear them.
