Hi
Earlier this year we ranked quite high in google, however the website has grown and changes made and our home page ranking with google has dissapeared. We have not been blacklisted as I ran a check and the homepage is still listed.

I ran a keyword report for our home page www.scantime.co.uk and find it is listed with most of the keywords in top 10 with most search engines except google where it is not even in the top 100 for any of the keywords.

I submitted the home page with Traffic Seeker.

Is there anything special I have to consider when submitting to google or has the homepage problems which google does not like.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dave

You don't submit to Google the crawler will find you via links.

And by the sound of it links with appropriate anchor text are the one thing you need more of.

Google are in the midst of a very large update as well so you will need to wait until the dust settles before deciding what to do. So have patience for 2 to 3 weeks.

Thanks for the advice chris. I will look at adding anchor text to the webpage.

When you say google will find you by the links, does this mean links on other websites, so we should start swapping.

Not necessarily swapping. Not every marketplace needs a reciprocal link campaign.

Get some good directory links, especially niche ones. Kellysearch and Applegate have industry specific sections for PLC Training (you're not listed in either BTW) and these will also both send qualified traffic not just a bit of link pop.

Programming the Mitsi FX series is my speciality BTW the system in my sig top line runs on a FX2N. </offtopic>

Visit Eng-Tips or MrPLC Forum create a signature and make some useful posts and PicTalk (haven't been there in a long while just looking through bookmarks)

I face exactly to the same problem. It's very strange because we tried to do everything to comply with google Page rank system. I'm sure you did exactly the same things. I don't understand because if you take a look at http://www.google.com/webmaster everything should be very simple.
