AdSense has been great .. even though I dont think rates will hold.

Many advertisers I have talked to have seen adsense clicks generating roughly 33%-40% normal income they get from AdWords. My feeling is that with a correction soon, in order to keep their profit margins, click rates will fall to 25% of what they were originally.

By the way .. the way adsense works is that it looks at the page delivering the ad, and tries to give the most pertinent links. If it cannot find any, or if the page has not been indexed yet, it will deliver a PSA / chairty ad.

Thanks HostLead, I run phpAdsNew on one of my sites as the banner rotator. and I would like to chuck my google adsense code in there to be rotated with the banners a already have.

The problem when using the remote invocation for Javascript code it wont show the ads that are just images and most of the banners in my rotator and graphical ads no javascript..

Is there a way to have a code that will alow me to have them both show under the one code?

Thanks
Wayne

I really don't like all these "I got accepted" posts. Guess what happened to my site . I applied with http://www.audiosenate.com. At first I thought it was because it was forum so it feel under newsgroup but on seeing that Webmaster Talk was accepted I'm not sure.

The next obvious thing would be the chat itself but I don't consider the site to have "Excessive profanity"

Any other ideas why I was rejected? You don't have to place the code in before your site is accepted do you?

I'm not sure what the problem is but here is what I did.
In the rotation I have 'normal banners' and the javascript from google.

add the banner in the advertiser section. when it asks you to choose the banner use 'HTML banner'.
copy the javscript in there. leave the rest blank except the size (which has to be exactly 468x60 pixels or 120x60 pixels or it won't display)
save it, assign it to the publisher where all your other banners are assigned to. (assigning an advertiser to a publisher may be the step before choosing the banner. I can't remember)
When your done with that, create the invocation code. upload it and test it.

If you have questions, just PM me. and btw it does not track the stats for some reason for the google banner

I looked at your site and I'm not sure why you would have been turned down. You only seem to have one ad and it's a banner. You're just not supposed to have another text ad. Some people have had luck with e-mailing Google AdSense support. Good luck.

Ah thanks. I might have an affiliate link at the top somewhere. I shall try removing that and resubmiting. If it fails again I will try support.

I use Search Feed , they have a few tools to use for PPC.

I learned earlier when I first found this site, not to use affiliate links

I'm very happy with AdSense so far! I'd be interested in hearing how others like it now that it's been out for a while.

OK. Heres some details on my experience:

I've had the ads showing on my site for about 18 days. I've been using the 4 ad skyscraper and not displaying it on every page (I'm averaging about 1800 impressions/day).

So far: 149 clicks at an average of 50c/click, CTR 0.6%

OK, so I'm reasonably happy with it. I assume other people have done better but it's earning me more than most other ad networks have.

My site(www.amzia.com) has been rejected by google adsense over and over again and they always provide vague replies, not really giving me an idea on what to improve to be eligible. Anybody with any hints or ideas?

It may be that your homepage has very little text so Adsense would have trouble figuring out what kinds of ads to display.

YOu could try submitting http://www.amzia.com/community.asp but that page is basically just full of user names or something.

I am not surprised it has been tough with that site.

If you can get a different site accepted you can put the ads on about any site with applying again (telling them).

Well normally it is allowed, but since they already rejected that particular site, you will have to see if the risk is worth it to you

Here is another solution I have found, but have not used it yet or applied http://www.bannerboxes.com

Hey,

Applied and got accepted for adsense. About how long does it take for the reports to be updated?
