Whats Google's problem with me?

http://www.cheatextreme.com has been on the net for around 5 years now. I have always had about 60% of my traffic from Google. Then suddenly on June 15th 2005 it dropped to about 15% from Google.

This obviously had huge negative effects on my income.

I have continously been getting new text links, with anchor text. Even paying for text links from sites which are above me in rankings. I have used keywords within my content. Optimised my title tags. Tried to make the best use of anchor text within my site.

I haven't had any changes with Google, it still seems to be declining. I find this strange as with other search engines I am in the top ten/twenty for 'Cheats' and 'PS2 Cheats', but with Google I am no where to be seen .

Is it possible to be partially banned from Google? or re-sandboxed?

The description of the sand box seem to fit my site. Strange though because it has been indexed in Google for 4-5 years.

Any help is welcome.
Thanks in advance.

I have never heard of being partically band from Google.

Suggestions ....

Get a meta description. Google still reads this ... they don't read meta keywords but they still use the description.

Change your content around on your frontpage. (Frequently) Google loves change (Obviously) and so do your visitors. Plus Google will penalize you if you have the exact same content as another page. I am not saying your content is copied but someone could have simply came to your site and copied your information and put it on their site. If they have a good ranking and have lots of quality backlinks ... Google will think that they wrote the content and will downplay yours. This happens all the time according to what I have heard.

Hi,

Is there anything you've done recently that might warrant you getting penalised? Stating the obvious, but why not look at what the site at #1 (searching for ps2 cheats) is doing and do the same. For instance:
  1. PS2 Cheat in the title tag (captures 'Cheats' AND 'PS2 Cheats'
  1. Meta tags for keywords and description that include ps2 cheats
  1. Alt tags with 'ps2' in them

Would that make any difference? You've got many more backlinks than the site at #1, (like 4,270!) - did you get boatloads of them in one day, and if so would that be seen as spamming? Dunno.

Still can't get the hang of those darned lists

I don't understand google either, nobody does. I sell gas masks and my site is optimized with good tags and description and has excellent relelvant content yet has terrible serp. Do a search for gas mask and like the #3 listing is a goofball hobby site where a guy jokingly tells you how to build a gas mask from used computer parts. He uses the word gas mask like 3 times on the entire site, and has tons of other totally unrelated content. How the heck is that site more relevant than mine? It makes no sense. They are obviously NOT indexing on relevant content.

Its almost like they have gone the other way to combat optimizing and spamming tactics and give less relevance to sites that ARE optimized and more to sites that aren't I can figure it out.
