The advice is good: Submit to all the directories listed by Padawan. Write at least 10 articles on your subject and submit to article directory and wait for results.
It doesn't look like the update has finished yet but the sites I've been working on since the last update have all gone from PR0 to PR3/4 which is ok. My main site has acquired some healthy PR6 and 7 links in the last couple of months but has remained a PR4 which is puzzling though.
Padawan, I must thank you for providing the list of directories and articles sites. It's mainly these directories that I get my sandboxed sites out of it.
I did well too!!! One site went from a 2 to a 4, one went from 0 to a 4, and then the site in my sig went from a 0 to a 3. None had gone down, so I'm very happy!

Well my directory went up to a 3, but my main site still hasn't done nothing, Google doesn't even think it is worthy to index, but it is worthy to crawl and use up all of my BW
We had great success with our newer client sites, going for 0 to 3 or 4 right away. This is good to build on for the next update. The sales for our online mall are not noticably higher though we did have some great ranking improvments in our new categories which helps our community member's link popularity, one of the positives of listing with us
I have to also thank Padawan for his directories as a lot of them are very helpfull in building back links. Good luck to everyone.
Almost all of my sites performed as well as expected. I had one link directory where the folder name was /links go from PR4 to PR2. That was the only casualty.
I think the update isn't quite finished. Not all the data centers have updated the backlinks. It does tend to fluctuate a bit before settling down. I would give it until tomorrow and see what it does. Perhaps Monday we will know for certain what the final update has done (or not done).
