Hi, I'm new the this forum and have some questions.

What I'm going to start doing is developing my domain names. I hold nearly 500 names and want to begin development. I want to do one name at a time but I want to know where to start. Many of these names and websites will be for the sole purpose of income. I'm going to place content and google ads on these sites for the purpose of profit. Eventually I'd like to set up a customized parking site for others with premium templates and advertising.

I'm learning php, mysql and all he rest and my hosting is good with cpanel. The biggest decision and the reason why I ask is this. Should I put all the domains as subdomains of one site so the traffic increases to work towards the premium adsense or develop individually. I would think the google ads could be pulled from a database and many of the templates the same... basically where do I start?

My websites will include content in the middle and keywords based on Overture on one side. If you click on the keyword, I want the ads to show up in the middle along with the content and possibly some cj ads in the mix.

How do I simplify this all and plan on the larger scale? What do you all recomend and is anyone doing this now? Thanks for all the responses in advance.

I'll simply point out

Quote:
No Google ad may be placed on pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads, whether or not the page content is relevant.
Quote:
Competitive Ads and Services
We do not permit Google ads or search boxes accessing Google search services to be published on web pages that also contain what could be considered competing ads or services. If you have elected to receive contextually-targeted Google ads, this would include all other contextually-targeted ads or links on the same page as Google ads. This would also include ads throughout the site that mimic Google ads or otherwise appear to be associated with Google on your site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads do not mimic Google ads. If you have elected to receive Google search services, this would include other search services on the same site and non-Google query-targeted ads. We do allow affiliate or limited-text links.
from AdSense Policies

And to say there is enough of the crappy "made for adsense" directories and scraper sites around and we do NOT need anymore of this kind of garbage clogging up the SERPs.

Any successful business requires a brand to be developed and so using 500 domains will dilute the same

I would suggest go for one domain that should form the identity of your brand and go for as many sub sections as possible. Biggest examples are G and Y.

Also I would advise you with couple of points

Instead of starting a business to make money you should have some thing like patience as to earn something you will lot of this.

Also go with a certain plan and make an assumption that you will not be able to have anything in pocket for 5 years from now as whatever little you will be making of the ads you need to invest for more popularity and so consider the sustainability of 5 years before starting.

Many businesses fails due to the lack of above two things.

Thank you both for suggestions. I haven't been here in a while and I'm not exactly sure why... maybe with so many forums somehow I overlooked this and didn't see your responses. I'll check to see if that setting is enabled automatically on here.

Chris, I agree with you on having low quality google sites clog up the Internet. However, with more and more new people coming on all the time, there is a wealth of opportunity as a business in this type of stuff. There are people who build portfolios of nothing but these sites and do very well.

I also agree with shab (I'm not about to spell that out ), Since the time I first posted on here, I learned very well that no matter what you do, it takes careful planning and definitive goals. I also have learned that it's better to focus rather than get your hands into everything. First domain names, now developing.

Anyway, I couldn't agree with the both of your more. I hope to become more active on this forum and I'll make sure that I'm automatically subscribed to every thread I post. Can the Admin make it a default. That's what I do anyway.

Look forward to more discussion.

Update. I did not respond to these posts or log back into this site because the automatic subscription update when I registered is turned off by default. You have to go to your USERCP --> EDIT OPTIONS --> and under Messaging and Notification you'll see -->Default Thread Subscription Mode. I've change it to Instant Notification and also checked: Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages.

Hopefully this will help new users.
