I just joined this site looking for ways to get traffic to my site. I am not well versed in the intricices of google, but I have read a few ways to supposedly get my page rank increased. Before I start dishing out money--im a starving artist as it is--I figure I would ask you guys if programs like this work. There are two products that I have come across that I am thinking about buying, but I havent yet due to skepticism. If anyone has heard anything about or actually tried these two programs, chime in please. Maximum Traffic from www.nerdlib.com and G-boost from http://www.ineedhits.com/submission/...aspx?fromtmpic If you know of any others that make it easy to get more hits, please list them. I respect all viewpoints, please tell me why or why not these programs will work. I saw there was already a thread on G-boost, but no one that had actually used it replied. I thank you for your time. If you get a chance to visit my site. Making music is my passion, but now I would like to share that with the world, check it out.

Just replying to your subject My answer is No. If they claim investigate how much they have benefited from SE themselves.

What is interesting to me are the sites that claim they can boost rank, but they are never in the top of the SERP's themselves. I have also seen some that aren't even listed in Google.

The best way to do it is study what others are doing. Find out what the key factors are for why your competitor's sites are ranking well:
Page Titles
Anchor Text
Incoming Link Sources
Age of Site

Software (or services for that matter) that claim to increase your Page Rank either doesn't work or all or at a minimum is not worth the money you pay for it.

You need to do the work yourself.... I suggest that you go to your local bookstore and find this book '101 ways to promote your web site' by Susan Sweeney... No need to buy the book just spend an hour reading it and taking notes - - It will go a long way toward increasing your understanding of the technical things you should do to inprove your page rank.

A second suggestion is to hang around the seo-guy.com/forum - - you can learn a lot about website tuning by just spending a few minutes each day reading the questions and answers there....

Remember, you really should not be searching for the highest page rank - - instead you should concentrate on making your website interesting, enjoyable to visit and getting your page rank up to the point that you are satisfied with the amount of business your website is bringing.... I have two customers on opposite extremes that you can use an as example - - one gets 40,000 visits a month and the other gets 200 - - both are extremely satisfied because both websites generage more business than the owners can handle....

Hi Teddyriley and welcome to the forum.

Thirst of all let me share my view with regard to traffic generation / SEO. It is always going to be cheaper for a webmaster to conduct the required work themselves, rather than out-sourcing the work and depending on the service you use, could be more efficient.

As for the two examples you’re interested in perusing, don’t get caught up in the sales hype. Gboost from INeedHits sounds like a submission service that will point a link to your site. This will send Google Bot to your site where it should index it into the results. However, being included in the search results is no guarantee of appearing high on relevant search queries. If you want the same effect but for free, simply try to encourage other sites to link your own. You can place a link to your site in your signature here, that way every post you make will provide a link for the search engines bots to follow. Other forums will also let you do this but don’t spam them with useless posts, your just get banned.

The other service I got very frustrated reading through all of the claims but no science. It’s an auto page generator that will make thousands of pages with your keywords in an attempt to spam the search engines. The pages will not make any sense to read, but will try to pass relevance to your index page. This is a very old tactic and if not implemented correctly, will result in your site being band.

I would advise you to research what is required to rank better and implement it yourself. As mentioned before using SEO Forums is a great way of doing this, SEO Guy, WebWorkShop and several others will guide you in the right direction.

Well As far as traffic programs caliming to bring millions of visitors instantly.. yes I think its bull**** as well. They drive Pop Under, PopUp and 404 domains.. as well as the dirty Proxied traffic techniques as well.

But tools help.. Maximum Traffic is a ecent program. I am an affiliate and I strongly belive in this software it utilizes templates and grabs REAL content. If used incorrectly it is nothing more then a doorway generator.

But when used properly it can be super effective. Adlinks,Templates, and the ability to add your own content sources.

There really is nothing else out there with all of these fucntions.

SEO is abiog amrket these days but in myopinion page rank and alexa ranking are 100% OVVVERATED!!!

PR is a selling point for advertisers.. Simple and plain.

IN a nutshell the object is not to try and "trick" the search engine but in fact giev it EVERYTHING it wants.. "feed" it.

Without "stuffing" or crossing any lines.

I hope this has helped.

Sites that think they can increase your sites rankings are talking rub*bish. Not every site in the world can have a No.1 spot in the major search engines for the same keywords.

I would just do your own SEO.
