My private site had 7 ,but now it's 5 . It's probably because of the new Google alghoritms. Now it counts links differently

My page rank is 5. But google has the wrong description text or whatever for my site. I don't know how often they do their crawl, but my site should have been updated by now.

Google ranking of our site:
6 month ago -> 2
4 month ago -> 6

2 month ago -> 5
and now 4

So strange, but alexa:
6 month ago -> 380,000
4 month ago -> 200,000
2 month ago -> 130,000
1 month ago -> 102,000
and now 89,000

sounds better than google.

my page rank is 7 - then we changed the url and it went down to 0 - but if you go from the redirected page it's 7 again.

emory7 what is the website for which your PR has dropped and any ideas u think why that happened ? Did you use any Link Farms or Guestbooks for Link Building ?

Hi nakulgoyal,
My main site is Clickfire.com.
It shouldn't be listed in more than a few link farms or guestbooks.

However, I'm thinking there are lots of PR holes in the big directory I have there that lets anyone add there own link. It's like a link farm itself. I'm thinking of removing it or adding a more PR friendly one.

Also, I noticed the main page PR dropped right after I added some internal links (which I have since removed) to subdirectories on every page. The subdirectory link PR's went up, which is not really what I want.

I really should be able to rework it and get a higher PR because I have hundreds of links from other related sites. Oh well, back to work

My site has a PR4. This site is only 4 months old and I've not used any SEO's, due to trying to do everything on my own. I guess that is not too bad. I've got lots more linking to do and more SEOing but it will get there.
