how can i get my website ranged higher in google from what i understnad the move website that have a link to my site the higher i will be ranked but alot of sites only want to swap links meaning i would have to put loads of links on my page

I am a little confused about your thread above "the move website"???, but understand the main point.

You will need to try and get one way incoming links, you may be able to do this via three way link exchanges if you have 2 websites. Otherwise you will have to very kindly ask other sites to link to your content, which will be much easier if it is unique content.

The link structure within your website is also important. Use the right anchor text within your own site and your half-way to keyword optimisation.

I could go on forever about SEO methods, but it would be easier to search for some useful 'Search Engine Optimisation' articles, that will give you the vital information.
