Backlinks Update

My photography site dropped from 1350 backlinks to 745 and my sff site dropped from 1720 links to 1110.

Anybody else notice a change?

nope same here which google server did you check or did you check all of them ?

interesting... it's back to where it was. I was checking their .com server.

I've noticed that I too have certain backlinks that only show some of the time. I'm not sure why this happens, but it seems relatively routine. Maybe it has to do with Google updating their database or something.

It seems whenever there is a backlink update that I lose links, instead of gain them...Anyone eles notice this trend.

I have, virus. Every time my yahoo and msn backlink total increases google seems to drop a few more links off my total - I know they don't show them all but it is quite bemusing how the total number listed decreases as the true number of backlinks goes up ??
