I see that the googlebot has been to my page several times over the last few days, but my pages still aren't updated. How long does it take for the updated pages to show up after the googlebot has crawled your page?

You need to be aware that just because googlebot visits it doesnt mean that the page will show in the SERPS index.

To see if the page it has seen has been cashed then type your name into the google search and view the results from www.yourdomain.com. You will see the pages it has cashed for your site.

Depending on the algo filter (sandbox) will depend on how quickly or slowly that cashed page will move up the listings.

Good anchor text links would help you hit the key words you want to push harder.
