Backlinks

Hello ,

It seams like Google is full of surprises .. that's ok from my part but i'm wondering.. does backlinks and anchor text on backlinks still matter when it comes to ranking in SERPs ?

I know they had a "word to say" some time ago.. but i'm wondering if they still do now..

Anchor text is huge especially coming from unique IP's.

Anchor text is very important when targetting keywords. If you get want top 10 for Web Design Services then you should keep asking your link partners to link to you with the title Web Design Services.

They still do and its the most important factor as of now in Google. This is just a prediction from Experience and I am not the google guy.

backlinks and anchor text have a heavy effect on your plcement. any site I have ever created had good benefits from this.
