Yeah it affects only 1% of the search results, now if you are thinking to add less quality content or doing spamming i mean creating back links from irrelevant sites then might be Panda can penalize your website soon..

panda & penguin is been working on content & linking & it's effect on when they launch...

i have had experience on my site that my site was on the first & when panda launch i just drop down from 1st to 7th .... in globally, in usa result maintain the same...

so it's been effecting very hardly...

Google has an efficient algorithm that lists the sites in the SERP but since the website owners started using unruly practices to get their sites to rank on the top of search results the Google fellows discovered the so called Google Panda named after the software engineer Navneet Panda.The panda updates are designed to target mainly the pages that are low quality rather than spam. It imposes a site wide penalty rather than focusing on one webpage i.e. even if few web pages have low quality content on them there are chances of the entire website getting penalized if it has been hit by the panda update.

Not heard about this. and Umair there is Not any significant change in search result. because Google don't show irrelevant results. How would you say 1% ?

Oh! I've noticed some wavings with my keys... I went Googling to find if there is an update, but nope... all the forums were quite so I thought that it maybe because somebody put or deleted links to my site.

Oh lucky for you that you are in a 7th however for my site it could nowhere to be found. In fact, from terrific page rank and traffic it dropped drastically. Because of the results it gives me an idea to do some variations on my site by following the guidelines in the Panda Breakthrough. He instructed me on what necessary things to do and incorporating what the Google are looking for in a site. Although I've done hundreds of modifications but the outcome was great. It is because my site recovered, the ranking gradually increased and it doubled the traffic. I think the most significant is showing that you have the highest quality site and in every problem there is always a solution.

Some day, though probably not in a single human lifespan, someone is going to figure out how to avoid being hit by these "low quality" detection algorithms.

My page is know not longer on page 2 it is on page 4

Keyword ranking are majorly affected through this update launched by Google in search engine result pages.

Stop checking rankings and they won't be.


It's only because you check the same "key words" repeatedly that you get different results frequently.

There is no other factors. It is all about ranking and search results. It's aim was to drop down what they consider bad quality or low quality content sites from search results.

Panda updates are happening all the time so it is important you understand how to stay in Google's good books.

No you don't, you simply need to provide documents that are USEFUL to Google's users.
There is NO magic and no secret formula to it.

If the documents on your website are verbatim copies of documents from other URLs or copied content that is 'spun' to make it appear different, you will have to work MUCH, MUCH harder at promoting it, but if you provide good, informative useful content other people will voluntarily do the promotion for you, totally unpaid and and totally un-asked! Which oddly enough is exactly how your URLs get into and stay in Google's "good books"!

Actually Chris, before Panda there were things you could do to rank better. It is now not tolerated; hence me staying what I said, which makes perfect sense.
