Well, the only money making stuff allowed on blogger anymore is AdSense. And Google owns blogger. And Google owns AdSense. And Panda and Penguin penalized many money making type sites that weren't using AdSense.....

And they do exactly right, why should people who are not willing to actually part with any money to have what they laughingly call a business, abuse a free service? Wordpress do not allow advertising at all.

Blogger/Blogspot was originally developed NOT by Google but by Pyra Labs, to give people a vehicle to have their say or to publish whatever they want to NOT as a vehicle for making money.

Actually that is not true! Amazon Associates is also integrated in the blogger template system.

No they weren't, the purpose of BOTH updates and all updates since is to improve the quality of the results for Google's users, that's their real users NOT website owners and marketers.

"Poor quality", means documents and URLs that are OBVIOUSLY targeting search keywords and phrases, you know, the kind of thing that I have been telling you NOT to do at various forums for about the last ten years or so!!!!!

Don't know why but I observe some of websites even my competitors sites which are absolutely spamming sites, with duplicate content and low quality links are still in top positions of search engine. I have lost my two websites with original content but unintentional spamming (Concentrate on two keywords more than others). Google you have to treat all of us in a same way. Don't let us disappoint!

I can understand the anguish of people who see their original content drowned by spammers and plagiarists - and the problem is widespread enough to show clear problems with Google's updates.

I don't know where Google is going or take away the search results by launching updates so frequently in Panda & Penguin.

Google is continuing on their ONLY path, and that is towards an URL index that is free from distortions.

You do realise that Google have been implementing ~50 changes every month to their algorithms since ~2003. It's simply that they now tell everyone who wants to know about the changes they do make, which has the added [or intentional] benefit of Google's system knowing if, when and on what parent URL, documents are "tweaked" to fit in with their changes.

Free from distortions yes. But there is still a proper way that can be built. And there will also be sites that have more power than others. That is what Google has built, they are just refining it from distortion.

Google are not moving away from the way they measure who has the better content for a topic that has been posted 2000 times. They are just trying to eliminate the people who have noticed what this is and are trying to manipulate it.
