Guys i just want to know your thoughts about my topic Question "Why Google is Famous?" i mean to say also there is many other search engines like:- yahoo, bing & many more...
but why mostly people prefer to Google?
what's the advantages of Google?

Google is better than all the search engines because it provides many services to users like page rank, analytics, and also it provides better search results.

It can search and show you results that solves your problem.

I have tried bing many times but could not find things I was interested in.

Answer is it has simple user interface, easy to use and got tons of links in it.

It's been around for many years and they keep improving, like James mentioned easy to use and for me quick. There is nothing wrong with Yahoo or Bing, I still use Yahoo....

Google is very popular search engine becuase in the past 12 years they made them self as a very reputed and very trust6 worthy search engine which is trying to serve best search results to the user. There are many people who uses Google every day for their need and some of the business purpose. They are famous becuase they are doing continuous update in their algorithms to provide the great results, Google has many product and services and most of them are for free.

Surely you mean "popular" rather than "famous"

I think thats what he ment haha. Well imo they took off past yahoo and other search engines in the 90's because they kept their page simple with only a search feature. In the days where dial up was widley used and broadband was more of a priviliage it was ideal to not have a 1000 differnt activites running on your website at once if you wanted constant traffic.

Yahoo! didn't have a search engine of their own until 2003, before that they were using Google results to power their "search".

Because of being the oldest search engine, it has its own largest database which is updated on regular basis.

Google is outstanding for its pro and quality search engine service to users. Users always choose the better one.

I was not an early adopter of google. I used webcrawler instead, but after a few years of listening to the hype, I switched. Now with it being #1 by far, you have to focus on them. Their SEO tools are way better than any of the other search engines now, so they make life easier for us.

Yeah I think these are the reasons why Google became so big originally. Back in the day search engines like Altavista, Yahoo etc had thousands of links and crap on their home pages. It was really off-putting.
