My blog is doing well under the three main terms I want it found under. I'm still using blogger, but at some point in the next year I plan on bolting on domains and at first pointing the domain at the blog, then later on reversing that as I settle on a hosting approach.

If the domain is pointing at the blog, will the domain get listed first, or will the search engines list the blog itself? Would it be better to simply setup a simple host page, with links to the blog and such, or just keep the traffic moving to where the content is?

get off blogger, get the domain and hosting. much easier if you get it out of the way now.

The domain (site) with the content gets listed. Period.

Getting hosting at the moment isn't an option. But I'm looking to chip away at the domains I want to use for different sub-sites. Its easier to refer people to a domain, not a complex address.

The mistake I make with my old efforts, was that I'd try to do too much too soon, without planning enough, or preparing to maintain sites. So I'd get over-extended, produce watered-down results, which even then I couldn't sustain. This is all personal web stuff mind you.
