Google Sponsored links lefthand side

Does anyone know how to listed as sponsored links on "lefthand side" with adwords? That is, how to get listed as "Sponsored links" on over search results?

I think if you bid more, and you're in the number one or two spot, they'll put you there.

I beleive it is more to do with your click index. the ads that have the highest click index or over a certain level get displayed above the natural results.

The Sponsored links are the paid links and the person who appear there pay google to be there. Its CPC and the placement is decided on the amount of bid and you plan to spend for that position.
