I have a website www.forecourtsonline.co.uk. I live in a city called swansea. If i type "cars sale swansea area" into the search box my site is on the first page. I am happy about that But. I keep reading about "page rank". My page rank is Nill !

Is it of some importance to my site's well being that I should have a page rank ?

PR is very important, you see google lists sites in order of PR so those sites with the highest PR will come top of the list when someone searches, bearing in mind that other sites work off the PR too such as AOL and Yahoo

your page rank is not nil but its 3 and probably it was updated on 3rd Jan and before that you were seeing the grey line so you were thinking its NIL but the fact is its updated regularly with google but you cannot see it on toolbar or other sites which display that.

What ideas are you throwing around for inproving your PR?

Well I have been reading sites about S.E.O and I think I have the answer.
It means that I have to rebuild my site from the title down :-( but it will be worth it. If what I have learned is true then I should improve on my meager 3.

www.forecourtsonline.co.uk mark two should be up an running by the weekend. Then I supose I will have to just sit tite and wait.
