I have a site with 53,000 google listings, and I often do deep linking from other sites. I have noticed the sites that are linking to me using a key phrase for the anchor are moving up in the SERP's (for the phrase in question) while the deep link page I'm targeting stays the same.
Has anyone else noticed this behavior?
