BTW XML sitemaps are NOTHING to do with SEO.

No it won't!

It may assist in getting ALL the site pages crawled but it will do NOTHING at all for "ranking" or getting traffic or sales

Right, sitemap helps in deep indexed and a well-done inner page links might also have some help in SEO. IMO.
