My site is still new, but by noon on a Tuesday I should be seeing 25-35 visitors already. I logged in and saw 4. This means something is wrong. I see that my site is up and running just fine. Bit.ly shows that at least 7 people have clicked one link alone since I posted it today. Nonetheless GA is showing a very wrong number of visits. What could be broken?

other things maybe these visitors never finished loading the site

Nothing's wrong with your Analytics. Your traffic has probably decreased. It is never stable.

You can check the log file in your control panel with your host. That can give you information if GA is accurate or not.

Bit.ly and GA are wrong? How could you expect number of visitors and say that Bit.ly or GA are not working instead? Dont understand.

Well nothing wrong in Google Analytics, just go and check that you have added GA code correctly......you can use -scanga for this......and also GA does not give you instant result.

That's right there is never a guarantee that you will have constantly more and more visitors. Also if the users have app. like the Pop-up blocker they might not be included into your website counter.

Is hard to guarantee how many visitors you will have, in my case google analytics provides exact data of your visits and hits.

Since it's new it is still possible to get few visitors.

GA takes 24 hours to update the code installed on your website. Considering the fact that you did so, I assume 7 clicks can be 4 visitors and there is a difference between visits, unique visits and clicks.

If you're getting a 25 visits normally, it does not mean that you'll always have that number. It's just normal that sometimes you get less than normal.. But if this is always happening, there could be a few reasons, one is that people don't find your site useful so they dont come back and they dont tell it to anyone they know..
