Hello

I have just posted my website, www.buxtonswimmingclub.co.uk , when I type buxtonswimmingclub (no spaces), google ranks it as no.1 , however when I type buxton swimming club (spaces) it's no where to be seen.

I have put plenty of information and relevant phrases on the front page to assist, I've also set up a few links with other sites. I have also registered with google.

Can anyone tell me what google is looking for.

Look at the cached text (In google index). THat is what Google is using - Buxton, swimming and club do not appear at all.

Google has no idea that buxtonswimmingclub means 3 separate words. It cannot read the text on your images so you need text as well.

You also need a title tag - google uses this to index as well.

Hope this helps

Try putting quotation marks around the phrase:
"buxton swimming club" and then hit the search button. This will list pages that contain the phrase "buxton swimming club" as is, and not pages that contain the words buxton, swimming and club separately.

However, people generally do not use quotation marks when searching for a phrase, so if "buxton swimming club" is your target keyphrase, and you wish to get ranked high in Google for that phrase, create quality content that contains that phrase (write articles, etc.) and exchange links with relevant websites (such as swimming clubs, buxton clubs, swimming pools, clubs, etc...)
