Google removes PR from Google Webmaster Tools:
http://searchengineland.com/google-q...er-tools-27821

I agree with Search engine land when they write:
Quote:
I think, Google should either make the data accurate or remove it (from toolbar)
I just share the information. There is no question.

Umm...the PR associated with Google has absolutely nothing to do with a PR release.

Google - PR = PageRank
release - PR = Press Release

The second has existed as long as there's been media and will likely to continue as long as there is media. The first one has been mostly meaningless for years and it's about time Google stops showing it.

Well then - Google is backing up what they are saying. They've said that PR isn't that important anymore - so removing PR from webmasters really makes sense.

Yes, the discussion has nothing to do with Press release.

It deals with the public version of the PageRank, i. e. the Toolbar PR .

An end of Toolbar PR would not mean the end of PageRank (which is a major factor of the google algorithm). It would just mean the end of the publication of PageRanks.

If the title is misleading, please edit it as "The end of Toolbar PR ?"

Done!

And we can only live in hope that the pointless green bar reaches the Autumn(Fall for the Murcans) of it's life, withers away and finally drops off.

PR was created by Google to confuse webmasters.
There is no logic behind PR.

Some links page without content get a good PR and some pages with original content with good no. of backlinks receives PR NA
